About the Certification

What is an RMP Master?

An RMP Master is a professional who is certified to give the Reiss Motivation Profile® to clients and interpret the results. A Certified RMP Master knows the RMP’s scientific development, underlying theoretical constructs, administration, norms and interpretive principles, and uses them to help clients understand what motivates them.

What is the Reiss Motivation Profile®?

The Reiss Motivation Profile® (RMP) for Business is a scientifically derived and academically validated psychological assessment of a person’s needs, values, desires, interests, motives and life goals. It explains a person’s motivation on 16 basic desires, based on the research of Professor Steven Reiss, Ph.D.

How is the RMP different from other personality assessments?

The RMP doesn’t force anyone into a psychological stereotype. Each profile reflects that person’s own needs and values: how intensely they feel each of the 16 basic desires, and how they prioritize them. Lesson 3 of the course covers how the RMP compares with other tools and motivational theories.

Who teaches the course?

I do. I’m Andy Dix, MS, BCC, a Board Certified Coach and a licensed trainer for Reiss Profile® Master certification. Professor Steven Reiss, Ph.D., the creator of the RMP, trained, certified and mentored me. I’ve administered the RMP to 1,900+ individuals. More about me.
